Yolanda Cuba

Yolanda joined Vodacom Group in November 2014 as Strategy and New Business Director. She previously worked as Executive Director, Strategy & Business Support at South African Breweries Limited (‘SAB’) and as Group CEO of the publicly listed Mvelaphanda Group.

Yolanda was also selected as one of the Young Global Leaders in 2008, an initiative by the World Economic Forum and named as one of the “20 Youngest Power Women in Africa” by Forbes Magazine in 2011. She is South African and has degrees in Statistics and Accounting from the Universities of Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal.  She is also an alumnus of INSEAD International Executive Programme.

She was appointed Chief Executive of Vodafone Ghana in March 2016.

Samuel Nkansah
Finance Director

Samuel Nkansah joined Vodafone Ghana as the Chief Financial Officer in March 2018.

Samuel has over 18 years’ experience in finance and strategy having worked as Chief Financial Officer at Konga Online Shopping Limited, Nigeria and Group Chief Financial Officer at Rancard Solutions Limited. Samuel also worked with Ghana Telecom and Vodafone Ghana as Corporate Finance Manager and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis for over 7 years.

With his background and knowledge in e-commerce and new technologies, Samuel leads the Finance Function to provide best in class financial solutions to support Vodafone’s vision.

Samuel holds an MBA in Finance from Clark Atlanta University, USA and a BSc Civil Engineering from the University of Science and Technology. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA/CGMA) and Ghana Institute of Engineers (MGIE).

In his leisure time he plays golf.

Patricia Obo-Nai
Director, Fixed Business & Consumer Operations

Patricia joined Vodafone Ghana as the Chief Technology Officer in January 2011, having previously worked for 14 years in technology and IT at Millicom, operators of Tigo. She is currently the Fixed Business and Consumer Operations director.  Patricia is highly respected in the telecoms industry in Ghana with extensive management and leadership experience.

She has an Electrical Engineering degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and an Executive MBA in Project Management. Patricia enjoys watching movies, is actively involved with church activities and enjoys relaxing at home with her family.

Martison Obeng-Agyei
Head, Vodafone Cash

Martison joined Vodafone Ghana in December 2014 from EMG Multimedia Ghana, where he was instrumental in the establishment of the company and its strategy. Prior to this, Martison spent a considerable period at Zain Communications Ghana Ltd, now Airtel Ghana, in Sales Management, Channel Development, Retail and Mobile Commerce.

Martison holds an EMBA in Marketing, from the University of Ghana Business School. He was appointed Head of Vodafone Cash in February, 2016.

Srabasti Bhattacharjee
Director, Technology

Srabasti Bhattacharjee was appointed as Technology Director for Ghana in January 2017.

Srabasti was previously the Chief Technology Officer (Vice President) for Mumbai Circle – the largest circle of Vodafone India. She was also the Chief Technology Officer for Kolkata where she led the Greenfield rollout of 2G network and increased Vodafone’s sites from 64 to over 2,400 sites.

Before joining Vodafone, Srabasti was in the Indian Army as a Communications Officer and was amongst the first 100 Lady Officers recruited by the Indian Army. She is a proud first in Southern Command and was responsible for static and mobile communication for the region. She has also participated in war-like scenarios in Western sector facilitating pre-established communication.

Gayheart Mensah
Head, External Affairs

Gayheart Mensah has a 28-year experience in Journalism, Public Relations, Strategy Development, Stakeholder Management, Advocacy, CSR, Project Communications and Media Relations. He capped a 12-year mainstream media work with an appointment to the Board of Directors of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) in 2009.

He joined Vodafone in March, 2014 as Director of External Affairs and has responsibility for Regulatory and Government Affairs, Business Risk and Compliance, Legal Affairs, Corporate Security, Corporate Communications, Sustainability and CSR. He started journalism with the “Ghanaian Times” and worked variously as Presidential, Parliamentary and Court Correspondent, among others. He held various positions including News Editor of “Graphic Showbiz”, Deputy Editor of the “Evening News” and Acting Editor of the Ghanaian Times. Gayheart later joined Unilever Ghana Limited as PR Manager before heading to Barclays Bank as Communications Manager. He subsequently joined Tullow Oil Ghana as Communications Manager and later became Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. Three years on, Gayheart was appointed External Affairs and Communications Manager for Project TEN at the Group Head Office of Tullow in London, where he worked for almost two years.

Gayheart holds a Diploma in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, a Postgraduate-Diploma in Organisation Development from the University of Cape Coast, an MBA in Marketing from the Paris School of Graduate Management and an MSc. in Corporate Communications from the University of West London. He is married with two children and loves meeting people, football and listening to good music.

Hannah Ashiokai Akrong
Director, Human Resource

Hannah joined Vodafone in April, 2016 as director of Human Resources. She started her career with Multimedia Broadcasting Company, Ghana and went on to Ernst & Young, where she worked in a consulting capacity with the HR Advisory team. She has also worked with Medtronic, a world leader in medical technology in various functional and business partner HR roles across various divisions of the company in the United States, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Hannah Ashiokai Akrong has a BSc in Marketing from the University of Ghana and a Masters in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, USA and the IAG School of Business, Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium.

Geta Striggner-Quartey
Director, Legal

Geta Striggner-Quartey joined Vodafone Ghana in October 2017 as the Director of Legal.

She has over thirty years Legal and Business Development experience having worked with both local and international legal firms and institutions.

She was called to the English Bar in 1986 and the Ghanaian Bar in 1988. She also holds an MBA from Henley Business School and a BA Joint Hons in Law and Sociology from Warwick University.

Geta enjoys listening to music, walking, aerobics and mentoring young people.

Angela Mensah-Poku
Head, Enterprise Business Unit & Wholesale

Angela joined Vodafone Ghana in 2009 during the transition from Ghana Telecom, Angela Mensah-Poku is currently the Enterprise Business Unit & Wholesale Director, a specialist unit within Vodafone Ghana that caters for SMEs, corporate organisations, Public sector and Global Enterprise.

Prior to her appointment, Angela was the Head of Corporate Sales and Vodafone Global Enterprise West Africa, a portfolio which included managing large multinational customers and expanding Vodafone’s footprint in Africa. She was previously the Head of Fixed Services, Vodafone Ghana’s largest unit responsible for the delivery of our fixed broadband services across the nation.

Prior to joining Vodafone Angela worked for British Telecom, UK, for over 8 years in various commercial, strategic and operational roles and units including BT Global Services, BT Retail, BT Design and BT Operate. Angela Holds a BSc in Politics and Law from Brunel University and MSc in Economics and Information Systems. Angela is a keen traveller, loves music and takes a keen interest in the development of young females.
